Curtin Kalgoorlie Open Day is on 22 August.

Visitors to this year’s Curtin Kalgoorlie Open Day – from 10am-3pm on Thursday 22 August – can look forward to gaining insights into various courses and careers, including commerce, engineering, health, journalism and teaching.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Professor Paul Brunton says attending the Curtin Kalgoorlie Open Day was a must for high school students or people already in the workforce and considering their next career move.

“Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss course options and career pathways with Curtin staff, current students and industry representatives,” Professor Brunton says.

Campus Director Tanya Chambers describes the Curtin campus as an integral part of Kalgoorlie and welcomed the community to explore everything it had to offer.

“Visitors can enjoy activities like gold panning and meet representatives from industry partners across finance, health and media.

“Future student advisors will be on hand to address questions and provide guidance on navigating the journey to Curtin, ensuring a smooth transition to university life. Industry partners will also be available to discuss career opportunities and how Curtin’s partnerships can benefit students in the workforce.”
