If you’re an educator, STEM policymaker or program designer – or if you are a relevant business owner or philanthropic funder of STEM education and research, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) wants to hear your insights and opinions on how to make a positive difference to the STEM education ecosystem.

To help shape the future of Australian STEM education, the Evidence X initiative is inviting expressions of interest (EOI) from a diverse range of people who want to have their voices heard and participate in a co-design project aimed to improve STEM education through evidence-based approaches.

Recruitment for online interviews and workshops to gather diverse perspectives on STEM is underway, with the EOI deadline set for 15 January 2024.

The sessions provide a platform for influential voices to contribute to the co-creation of innovative solutions – and Evidence X is especially keen to engage with STEM educators, teachers and program designers/managers and STEM policymakers, advisors, funders and businesses who have encountered challenges and successes in STEM program delivery, design and evaluation. People who are passionate about transforming STEM education, program design and delivery are all welcome.

Evidence X aims to bridge the evidence gap within the STEM ecosystem by providing current, accessible, and practical information for the design, implementation, and evaluation of STEM programs. The initiative also seeks to establish uniformity in assessing the success of these programs, working towards the development of a prototype STEM Evidence tool to inform interventions.
