Kogarah Public School set for major transformation with new facilities
Major construction works are now underway at Kogarah Public School as part of the NSW Government’s commitment to delivering better schools and more resources for students and teachers across the state. The comprehensive upgrade will see the addition of 24 new, air-conditioned classrooms designed to provide a modern and comfortable learning environment for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
First new school hall in over 150 years
A key highlight of the project is the construction of the school’s first new hall in 155 years. This long-awaited facility will provide a dedicated space for assemblies, performances, and community events, enhancing the school’s capacity to support both educational and extracurricular activities.
Enhanced play areas and outdoor learning spaces
Alongside the new classrooms and hall, the upgrade includes new play areas, revitalised outdoor spaces, and a weather-protected outdoor learning area. These improvements are designed to promote active play, outdoor learning, and student wellbeing, ensuring that Kogarah Public School continues to meet the needs of its growing community.
Government investment in quality education
The Kogarah Public School upgrade forms part of a broader NSW Government strategy to invest in school infrastructure, attract and retain quality teachers, and deliver world-class education for students across the state.
A new era for Kogarah Public School
As the major works progress, students, families, and staff can look forward to a transformed school environment that supports learning, engagement, and community connection for years to come.
